Backup Exec 2012 for Windows 2012

Hi,

I have read all the blogs about backup exec 2012 running on Server 2012.  I have the media server running on 2008 in my 2012 domain and it is backing up my 2012 servers just fine.  So not sure what the fuss is all about.  But I would like to get rid of my 2008 server and just have pure 2012.

So do we have a release date yet for the version of Backup Exec 2012 that can have the media server running on Server 2012 ?

Thanks

Drakey

You are using an unsupported configuration. If you have any problems you would not be able to get any support from Symantec. You might also find that you are unable to recover your servers even when you have good backups Server 2012 as a media server will be supported by BE 2012 R3 which is due out next year. I did not say I was using the media server on 2012, I have media server on 2008 and running agents on my 2012 server from my media server running on Windows 2008.  Pretty sure this is supported.
