Does anyone know if Veritas has a utility or know of a script that I can run to determin what hot fixes and SPs have been applied to a server running BE9.1?

Hi,

Currently there is no utility or a script that could be used to determine the installed updates.

The only way is to generate the bediag file and check out the file versions.

How to create the Backup Exec 9.x and 10.0 diagnostic file "bediag.txt" for local or remote systems

http://support.veritas.com/docs/254238

The patch document mentions the files whose versions get updated after the installation of the corresponding patch or hotfix.

Another workaround is to run "VERITAS UPDATE". The update displays all the patches and hotfixes are NOT present on the system.......

As additional information this problem has been resolved in 10.0 which has an "Installed updates" option which can be used to check out the same.

Hope this helps.
