Backup Exec Engine System not responding

The backups have failed for 2 weeks now and the error reads that the Error a00081d9 Backup Exec Engine System Service is not responding. I have restarted the all the Backup Exec Services but it keeps stopping on its own which causes our backups to fail. There is still plenty space on the drive the backups go to. I would appreciate any advice you can give. Please advise any ideas you have.Thanks.

there are 23 hits when you enter "a00081d9" in the forum search with date range "all". are they all useless ?

Please run a database recovery with the help of the following document:

Also, increase the cancellation time or uncheck "Enable automatic cancellation" for the backup from Backup Job properties | Schedule.
