1) What is the OS of the media server?

2) What is the OS of the remote server?

3) If the remote server is a DC, then the BE credential used must be a domain admin.

If you have any antivirus installed, make sure it isn't blocking access to the System State. i've had McAfee do that to me.

Thanks!

Is the correct version of the Remote Agent installed? If not, do either a push-install, or a manual install of the current RAWS agent and try again.

Also make sure that the BE service account is a member of the local Admins group on that server.

Thanks!

Not sure why you marked your solution as closed when it isn't, so please unmark it.

Also, you haven't addressed my comments in the post above yours: Local Admin group & version of the Remote Agent...

Thanks!

Domain administrator user to do this backup, Remote Agent 14.2.1180.

This makes sure that the Domain administrators have administrator rights over the whole system, because this user can backup system state of Mail Exchange and SQL Server. However, backup system state of Active Directory ->> failed

Thanks.

If this is a backup to tape, try backing up to disk.

Hi pkh,

It is backup to disk, not backup to tape

Thanks

If this hasn't been resolved, uninstall the RAWS agent from the server in question and reinstall it before trying the backup once more.

Thanks!
