Backup Exec error

dd1234
Level 3

When I try and connect to the server I get the following message:

"There were no storage locations found on the server".

Any ideas as to what is going wrong here?

Do you know what changed which caused this issue?
Do you have connected storage on BE server ?
Post running into this issue did you restart BE services and does the issue still persist ?

Hi Gurv thanks for the reply.

I have never had the cloud backup running - only tapes.

This is at the initial stage of trying to setup the cloud service.

Which Cloud Provider/Storage you are attempting to configure with BE 15?

What is BE 15 Patch level? Is it FP2 or above?

Can check the article 000081253 if attempting to configure Cloud Connector for Amazon S3

Can you share a screenshot

Screen shot attached.

I think I am on FP2 - how would i verify this?

You may click on 'BE Icon' -> Installation and Licensing -> Installed Updates and confirm the FP level installed.

Fetaure pack 5 is all that is displayed here.

Ok and so just to confirm that you have already configured bucket on the S3 and looked through the article 000081253 I posted previously?

Yes I have followed all the correct steps but to no avail.

Also can suggest which region is the bucket created and whether using S3 Standard or S3-IA or Amazon Glacier? Since with BE 15 Amazon S3 standard is supported only.

BE 15 HCL for reference (Pg 11)

The bucket is created in EU (London) and it is using standard S3.

Support for the US East (Ohio), Canada (Central), Europe (London) or China (Beijing) regions requires FP1 (or higher). See <http://www.veritas.com/docs/000116034>

Reference BE 16 HCL Pg 12

So please upgrade to BE 16 FP1 or above to use EU (London) region.

So by upgrading the version will fix the issue I am having?

I would expect it to get fixed since currently using a version which does not support EU (London) Region.

If upgrading is not an option for now, can try configuring a bucket with any one of the following supported regions with BE 15 FP5:

US East (N. Virginia), US West (Oregon), US West (N. California), Europe (Ireland), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), Asia Pacific (Sydney), South America (Sao Paulo), Asia Pacific (Seoul), Europe (Frankfurt)
