Backup Exec is slow after upgrade

Hi Everyone

                    I recently upgraded my BE console from 11 to 2010 R3 after which my backups are running really slow

my OS is Windows 2003

Can someone help me what could be done to fix this issue

Ensure your remote agents are updated....

If backing up to tape, installed Symantec device drivers...

Are ALL backups slow ? And are they slow to both disk and tape ?

Also, if using AV, prevent is from scanning during the backup & exclude the BE services

What were the speeds like previously compared to now?

BE 2010 R3 introduced a new security feature where the RAWS agent and media server had to trust each other, but it shouldn't decrease your backup speeds considerably.
