Backup Exec not releasing

We are having on going problems with one of our domino databases. It keeps getting database corrupt error messages. We've researched answers on LDD website but so far no solid answers. Its been suggested that maybe our Backup Exec is not releasing Lotus Domino Databases causing database corrupt error messages.

We are running Windows 2003 Server and Lotus Notes version 5.10. All patches on server are up to date. Clients running XP Pro and Notes R5.10.

Has anyone experienced this problem and if so what steps can be taken to prevent it?
