Backup Exec with ArcGIS

Hi there,

we are positioning Backup Exec to Backup ArcGIS (Geographic Informantion System), does anyone have experience with using BE to backup the DBMS data?

BE has agents for all the Databases used with ArcGIS, nevertheless please share any info you have on this setup with us.

Your best bet is to check out the best practices guide for the particular database you're using with that application. It will outline what you should and shouldn't be doing.

From experience when backing up SQL using BE though, don't enable Advanced Open File Option...this causes issues when doing restores for instance.
