Backup Failure in SSO environment

Backstory...
2 Windows 2000 servers with Backup Exec 9.1
Backing up to tape library
1 primary SSO and 1 secondary SSO

I decided to upgrade to version 10. After a few minor difficulties I was able to upgrade both servers. I verified that everything was intact...both servers had their job logs and could see the robotic library. Fast forward a few days...the primary SSO server is working fine but the secondary SSO server will not backup at all. If I try to run a job it will submit but immediately go to Job Status No Communication and the job will drop into history with a Job Status of Recovered. A few minutes later it will cancel.

While trying to resolve the issue I noticed through BEUtility that the primary SSO server had dropped to secondary status. If I try to promote or set the primary I get a generic failure to promote error.

Could someone point me in the right direction?

Hello,

Do you get any error message when the job stops working? What are you backing up in the job? Are there any errors in the event logs? It seems that the jobs were working well before. Had yu modified anything related to the SAN configuration before the problem began?
