I have a customer that I support that is using a DellPE 840 server with a DAT 72 device, in it. I am using Backup Exec Version 11D, Rev 7170. The device seemed to work fine at first but now, I experience problems. The errors seems to be "\device\scsi\apu3201 did not respond within the timeout period".
After researching the issue it appears to be related to device drivers for the DAT drive. I have downloaded, although not installed the latest firmware from Dell. No updated driver from Dell appears to be available. Anyone seen and corrected this problem.
