Backup Job Properties selections

Hi,

Any reason why when I go to the Backup Job Properties, Selections tab, the checkboxes for some of the folders are grayed out?  Only specific folders are grayed out, such as shared drives pc2-c or pc2-d, but C$ and D$ and System State are not grayed out.

Also, when I select a folder a message pops up saying "Warning:  to fully protect a remote computer, Remote Agent must be installed", but the Remote Agent is installed and I am able to select the folder.

1) Do you have the Remote Agent serial(s) installed on the media server?

2) from Tools\Options\Network  have you checked "enable backup via user shares"?
