Backup Job being reported as running after completed.

hi there

i have a Backup Job that completed with exceptions, as it is reported, but its status is still showing "Running". as a result of this, the rest of the jobs did not run. I know that the quick fix is to re-start the backupexec services. BUT is there a way to trouble shoot this problem? or prevent this from happening again?

Hello,

Does this happen for backups on tape or also on backups on backup to disk. Also install the latest veritas drivers from the following link :

And you have mentioned that you have exceptions in your job log. Please give us more information about the exceptions.

Also check for active alerts in the alerts window of Backup Exec and respond to them. Configure Backup Exec such that the active alerts are automatically responded to using the following document.

Hey Renseh, Did you resolve the problem with the running status. I have the same problem with several pcs. Im currentlu using the Backup Exec. V10 Edition
