Slow backup can occur depending upon the network load and the type of files
and the size.
In order to resolve the slow backup problem you may refer to the following
guidelines.
1. Please make sure that the antivirus protection is disabled during the
backup process.
2. Ensure that all the hardware devices are working properly. The firmware
on the device is updated to the latest.
3. Ensure that there are no third party applications running during the
backup process.
4. Test a backup job when the network activity is minimal and observe the
results
The backup performance depends on the following factors such as
A. Tape Drive used for backup (Tape drive or Autoloaders) and the media.
B. Hardware or software compression used.
C. The device drivers, firmware for the backup device. Update the firmware.
D. Local or remote network backup.
E. Job Scan Option selected during backup.
F. Please check Virtual memory settings.
