Backup Successful, but byte count is zero on dicom files

Hello-

I'm using symantec buexec 2010 r3 on a backup server; Have remote agent installed on a DICOM image SAN.  The backup is successful and the directory structure is there, but the file (study) byte count is zero on all study files.  The names of the files are something like this:

1.2.830.113845.31.1003000001917109616.20110129034357.1491838

If I place a 200mb zip in the folder with one of the files ending in *.3939292, it backs up just fine- except the study files ending in numbers.

Any help appreciated.

...can you give a bit more information here? What SAN is this? Is BE 2010 R3 fully patched? Are you backing up the directories in their entirety directly from the SAN, or via a server with a Remote Agent installed on it?

Are you using AOFO in your job? If not, put it in and see what it does.

Lastly, are you using some sort of snapshot technology on the SAN and trying to perhaps back that up?

Thanks!
