Backup Tape problem

Hi there,

I'm using Symantec Backup Exec 11D.

My situation:

LTO ultrium tapes 200/400GGB

Backup size: 20GB

I want more backups on 1 tape with 1 MediaSet.

When i use Backup-to-diskfolder it works, and automaticly increase the medialabel number by 1.

When i use the Tape media it always overwrite de current backup and uses the same medialabel.

I've configured the append to infinite and the overwrite protection to 2 weeks. It still overwrites.....

Anyone any suggestion ?

Go to Tools -> Options -> Media Management

Set "Media overwrite protection level" to "Partial" and check "prompt before overwriting imported media"

Click OK

In your backup job make sure under Device and Media you have "Append to media - overwrite if no appendable media is available"

That should fix it
