Backup Upgradation From 11D to "2010 R2.

Hi,

I have 11 D installed at winserver 2003.I have a new Tape Library with HP LTO 5 3280 tape Library with 96 slots.

I need to upgrade to 2010 R2. But i dont know the product key for old 11D.

Can i upgrade it without knowing the old key of 11D and is 2010 R2  compaible with Winservr 2003.

For upgrading 11d to 2010 R2, you need to have the license key for BE2010 R2.

Else the product will work in trial mode for 60 days only.

Win 2003 is compatible with BE2010 R2

Also check BE2010 R2 Hardware compatibility list to confirm your tape device is 

compatible with the software.

Yes you can upgrade it to BE 2010 without knowing the old key. Only the new license key to install BE 2010 is required. And BE 2010 R2 is compatible with windows 2003 server.

And the tape library you have is supported with BE 2010.
