Backup VMWare Machine

I am running a Backup Exec 2010 on a XP in a testing environment, and I have an 2 Virtual Machines installed in ESXi 4.0 machine on the same network.

What are the steps and requirements to make the backup exec 2010 backup job selection to point to the virtual machines on the same network?

P.S. I have the Symantec Backup Exec Agent for VMWare Virtual Infrastructure installed when I was installing Backup Exec 2010.

You should download the Administrators Guide, and read up on the chapter for Vmware.  It lists it all out step by step.
