Backup exec 2010 does not load tapes from the autoloader slots automatically

We are running Backup Exec 2010 to administer an HP 1/8 G2 tape autoloader. When manually moving the tapes from slot to drive, it works. We configured device pools to include multiple slots, but Back Exec does not unload and load the subsequent tapes to continue the backup. Also we would like to run jobs consecutively without human interaction.

I would like some assistance in realizing the above mentioned.

When you use an autoloader, there should be no need to move the tape to the drive.  I suspect it is because you have used partitions and BE cannot find a suitable tape.  Remove all your partitions.  Create media sets with the appropriate OPP and AP.  Target your jobs to these media sets depending on your retention policy.  For the initial runs of your job, associate your tapes with the scratch media set.  Do beware that by doing so, BE will use any tape and the data on it would be overwritten.

Can you run utility jobs (such as initialize, inventory, erase (destructive))?
