Backup exec 2012 and DLO option

Does the DLO option in backup exec 2012 provide bare metal recovery.

Nope...strictly files and folders only.

You would want to look at Symantec System Recovery for this.

Furthermore, DLO 7 is now a separate product.  BE 2012 does not include DLO.

Currenlty I have Symantec DLO 7.0, will this version restore to bare-metal? The Symantec Rep told me it would.

Like I said, look at SSR Desktop Edition. The guy is completely wrong and should go read the DLO 7 Admin Guide.

DLO 7 is only for user files and folders. It does not protect hardware at all...
