Backup exec 2015 tape configuration

Hi ,

I recently bought backup exec 15. Before this one we had backup exec 2010 .

The 2010 was configured by the system admin before me and he is not working for the company anymore.

Before i ask my question here is my config :

Windows 2012 R2

Backups exec 15

Tape drive Dell PV-124T ( 8 slots )

I have configured everything to work. My backups / Encryption / Backup jobs are good.

But i still want one thing to happen.

I want the backup exec to always choose the Empty tape when writing ( diffrential or full backup ) .

So example when i have 3 empty tapes inside and differential backups are made everyday , i want backup exec to 

always choose an empty one every day.

Now it just writes new data to the first Tape everyday. This makes me remove tape after write or it just keeps on writing on the first tape

and ignores the other 2.

Some help would be appreciated .

Edit your job, set it to Overwrite and not Append

Also, choose the option "Overwrite scratch media before overwriting recyclable media" under global settings.

Why would he want to do this?  Wouldn't the option of using recyclable media before scratch be better?
