Backup failing: The data being read from the media is inconsistent.

amorget
Level 0

For the past couple of days my verify is failing everyday, the tapes are older but I have tried a much newer one and that has had no effect.

- tape drive was cleaned

- server will be rebooted tonight (I doubt it will help).

here are the errors:

From the backup log:

Verify- F: Data
An inconsistency was encountered on the storage media in CERTANCE 1.
V-79-57344-33994 - The data being read from the media is inconsistent.

if anyone has any ideas I'd greatly appreciate any help you can give me. I cannot upgrade at the moment due to financial reasons so I am stuck using 10.0 rev5484 which has given me nearly 0 problems in 5 years of owning BE.
