Backup failing to backup Act SQL and databases

We just installed Act Workgroup 2005 on our server running Veritas 9.1 backupexec. I have noticed our backups have been failing to backup any Act databases and none of the Act Sql information. The backup would skip these files. Also Veritas is running a SQL server also. Is there a possibility of a conflict. Need help.

What error are you getting?

Is the ACT! server the same machine as the Veritas machine?

Do you have the Veritas SQL agent?

What are your backup selections?
Do you backup the SQL Databases using the SQL Agent?
