Backup job hangs

I'm working with Backup Exec 12.5d.  The job runs great, but once it gets to about 95% done, the job just hangs.  Eventually the job times out and will fail.  Anyone have any ideas as to what may be the issue?

Hi Ray,

Where exactly does it hang? On a specific server, or folder, or files?
If it is a remote server that it hangs on, I would start by running a reinstall of the RAWS agent to rule out corruption.
DId you perhaps update your media server, and then not push install the updates on your remote servers? COuld have an impact if it contained updates for your applications.

I'll have to investigage further.  It just gets to a certain byte count and stays there.  It's only one server that's being backed up.  We just did some updates thru LiveUpdate on the server, but this started before that.

It appears to be hanging at the Information Store.

Rather, the Information Store is the last thing it backed up with a status of completed in the job log.

Hi,

Create a test backup job only for the information store and check if that runs successfully.

Are you perhaps using AOFO when backing up the IS?
