Backup job runs verify before it backs up data

I have set up a backup job that backs up several drives (C, D, Exchange etc) however I have noticed in the job log that it backs up C drive then goes through and verifies D, Exchange, Shadow Copy Components, etc then goes through and backs up those drives AFTER the verify process.  It is causing errors during the backup - Cannot Verify C (which makes sense seeing as it hasn't backed C drive up yet). Anybody have any ideas why it would do this and how I can fix it?

Please uncheck "Advance Open File Option" from the backup job as SERVER-1\SHAREPOINT instance is selected.

Exclude Backup Exec instance from backups "SERVER-1\BKUPEXEC". No need to backup Backup Exec SQL instance as every Backup Exec takes care of its own database backups.

It is not recomended to backup databases (Exchange, SQL..etc) using AOFO.....

I would suggect you to backup Sharepoint in a seperate job without AOFO and the C and the D drives with AOFO along with System State and Shadow Copy Componants.
