Hello,
We are planning to back up a voice mail server for our ShoreTel phone system. ShoreTel has recommended that it be kept out of the domain for optimal performance and operation. Are there any known issues with backing up a Windows server that doesn't belong to the domain? If so, are there any special configurations that we should perform? Any help is appreciated and I thank you in advance.
Regards,
Jason Robb

As long as you conect with an ID that is an Admin on the Voicemail server, you should have no problems
Either browse to it in the Selections list, or create a UserDefinedShare if it doesn't appear in the browse list

Hello Ken,
Thank you for your quick reply. I was not aware of the user defined selections that you can create, so this will probably be necessary as the system will be on a different VLAN.
