Backup to VM

Can Backup Exec 12.5 backup a physical system to a VM image that can then be mounted on a VM server?  Is there a special agent I need for this or will the basic BE 12.5 do this?

Backup Exec system recovery software is capable of doing what you have requested. It has a conversion tool using which a physical server can be converted to a Virtual Machine. Also, VMware converter tool, a VMware software can help you achieve the same. You can try any of these options.

I'm trying to Restore a FULL backup w/ Baremetal,

in a VM (virtual box)

aparentlly it will work but I have no time to test it


there is some applications that should work..

symantec has bought the Power Quest Drive Image.
that program was able of making a full backup and convert it to a VM.

i think that the new Norton Ghost is able of doing it.
