I am currently using backup exec 12.5. I can backup from my Celerra to a LTO4 tape backup solution fine. One question I wanted to know was what is the "difference" between the dump and Volume based backup option in backup exec 12.5. I tested both backups to a folder and I can do a folder/file restore afterwards. I am using the VBB solution now.
Setup:
Backup Exec Server connected via SCSI cable to tape backup. The backup data from servers/celerra is coming from a GB ethernet connection.
