Hello.
I have installed BackupExec 10 in a SAN environment with fibre channel IBM Ultrium 3582 as a backup device. It seems that it doesnt recognize the Ultrium well and I've searched through the support and it says that BackupExec works only with fibre versions od 3581 and 3583.Is this true? What should we do,is there a workaround?

The 3582 and ADIC scalar24 are on the HCL, but it doesn't specifically list the FC models. so as a work around you could verify operability by direcrtly SCSI attaching the library. If direct SCSI works, then there is an incompatability between the FC router on the ibm 3582 (called a SNC on the Adic-not sure what ibm calls it) or there is an incompatability between the FC switch and the tape library.
