Whilst Backup Operator might be enough to run certain basic types of backup, generally files on standrad file system only. It is not enough  for more advanced operations. For instance System State backups will often need more - especially if it is a domain controller but there are other scenarios that need more as well. As such we do specify Domain Admin (local admins if system is in a workgroup) for a reason.

You haven't actually told us what type of data you are trying to backup in the job that is returning this error.

Thanks Backup_Exec for contribution,

I created an user and put it on backup operator user and now I can list files and folder in selection list, execute backup.

My problem was in my BackupOperator group, the user wasn´t on it.

For your ask, Colin Weaver, I´m backup of some folders in C:\ and E:\, nothing of OS.

I believe tha does not necessary to use admin account yet.

Thanks you very much.

Hugs.
