Backups and restores fail with error: Final error: 0x2000040d - S_TF_NO_TAPE_PRESENT

Starting lasts night, my backup jobs are failing with the error:  Final error: 0x2000040d - S_TF_NO_TAPE_PRESENT.  I find this odd because we are not using any tape storage and the jobs are not configured to backup to tape.  We are deduping to OST storage.  If anyone has any information on this problem I would greatly appreciate it.  I have searched around symantec support and the formums but have not found a solution.

I suggest that you open a tech support case as something is likely corrupt in your OST stuff.

FYI, BE uses a psuedo virtual tape library internally for OST, so this error is likely related to a corrupt or missing OST image.  odd, but that is the way it works.

I opened a tech support case.  Symantec seems completely unable to address the problem.
