Backups failinf due to "The job was canceled by user System"

I have now 2 consecutive failed backups due to the message"

when i referred to the support documentation is suggested that I had enabled a "timeout". This is not so. Any advice would be appreciated.

Check the schedule information and prolong the interval to start the job.

thank you for your reply. the job starts and then finishes at an irregular time.

the job is currently set to start within a 4 minute window. what would you suggest?
