Looking for recommendations!! I have a multiple standalone virtual tape drives that I would like to keep 3 weeks worth of info on before overwriting the tape on the 4th week since the tape would be full. I have set the overwrite protection to 3 weeks and the append period to infinite, but since a virtual tape can have only one media label I never reach my overwrite period with the way my nightly jobs are configured. I have heard that once a tape has filled up, there is no way to make BE reuse the same tape in the same job using overwrite or append rules. Any recommendations? Would it be best to setup a single job to Overwrite on the 4th week?
