Best known method for in-place upgrade from 11D to 2010?

This is my opinion. If BE 11D configuration is easy, a few servers ans jobs, I prefer to remove old version and install new one.
But take a look at Symantec Site.

As long as nothing else changes, you can install 2010 on top of v11d and everyhing should be migrated forward.  See http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/331656.htm

('Course it never hurts to have a backup copy of the BEDB and the catalogs folder just in case  )
