1. The job lconfiguration nformation is maintained in the backup exec database files. A simple way to restore the job configuration information is to recover the database from backup. A backup of this database is done by default at 4:00 am each day if the server is operational at the time. This schedule can be changed as follows:

2. To recover fom backup do the following:
1. Quit Backup Exec
Caution: Do not stop the Backup Exec services.
2. Go to the :\Program Files\VERITAS\Backup Exec\NT directory (default location), and double-click BEUtility to run it
3. Expand Known Media Servers, right-click All Media Servers, select New Media Server, enter the name of the media server, and click OK
4. In the right pane, select the Backup Exec media server, and then click Recover Database from the Database Tasks options in the left pane
5. A dialog box appears prompting to select the "Database Instance" that is to be recovered. Select 'Drop existing database and reload from backup' from the drop down menu and click OK
6. The Operation Progress dialog box will appear, indicating the process of performing the recovery of the database from backup
7. On completion, click Close. Select the File | Exit menu option to quit BEutility
