Cancel Pending

Hi!

Most of the times when we try to cancel a backup jobs, it either keeps running or hangs with a message "Cancel Pending". Then we have to restart the server to clear it up.

Any Suggestions?

You may want to refer to the following link: http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH87507 (it would apply to Backup Exec 2012 as well, except that you need to click on the Backup Exec icon(on the top left of the console) and then click on Configuration and Settings > Backup Exec Services to open the Services Manager).

...unfortunately this has been the case with multiple versions of Backup Exec...sometimes not even restarting the services works, leading to a server restart instead.

While I know that BE is waiting for something to end, it's a pity that there is no setting built-in that automatically forces this to end allowing the services to restart.
