If you cancel the job first, and then click OK to effectively respond that you have inserted the required tape, does it not then stop answering?
Not sure if I've had this issue yet on v10, but I know on v8.6 it's as if the system gets the idea into its head that it need a different tape, and no matter what you do it won't forget about it until such time as you tell it you've done what it asked, but if the requirement is no longer there, eg you've stopped the job, it doesn't actually check to ensure you have done anything.
