Cannot backup remote XP machines

Our backups were working fine, suddenly it cannot attach to the remote drives on the XP machines. All the remote agents are running. tried restarting all the services and still no change.

We already verified that the correct version of the agents are running. How do I get this thing working again?

something must have changed.

Did you apply any MS patches/maintenence to the server or the XP machines?

Did your network guy (if that's not you) tweak any routers or switches?

Turned out to be the windows firewall. I opened up port 10000 on all the xp machines and its working fine. Thanks.
