Cannot finish a backup job with mulitple virtual machine

Hi

I encounter a strange problem.

When I create a backup job for about 10 virtual machine , it failed.  But when I create a small backup job for each virtual machine, it is successful.  The settings are same.  So it is strange why I cannot put 10 virtual machine in a bacup job.  Our backup exec is 2010.

Well first thing I would suggest is make sure you are using Backup Exec 2010 R3 (13.0 Rev 5203)

Second thing is make sure the VmWare VSS driver is not instaled inside the VM (as part of the VMWare Tools install)

Hi Colin,

 

I confirm it is Backup Exec 2010 R3.

I have thought VSS driver problem but the problem is 10 small virtual machine backup job are successful ,why I cannot put them in one backup job.  I am 100% sure the settings are same.
