The backup option is set correctly, I have a mailbox for the account used to connect to the Exchange server and it has delegated privileges in Exchange, the Exchange database files are EDB etc. but on the restore job I cannot drill down past the mailbox name to select individual emails. When I try I just get the word "None" appearing in the panel that normally lists the contents of the mailbox.
I am desparately in need of help.

To get the wheels rolling on this.
What version of Exchange are you on? Does the Full backup job state the job completed successfully or are there errors?

Sorry for the omission. Version 11.0 Rev 7170 SP3 installed. Windows 2003 server std with latest SP and updates installed.
The backup job completes without error.

Is backup taken on tape?
Duplicate it to disk?
You can run duplicate backup job from tape to disk...then try to restore..you will be able to see everything
