Cannot select SQL 2005 in a MS Cluster with BE 11D

Hi,

I am trying to backup an SQL 2005 instance in a MS Cluster that is in another domain from my BE 11D server. I have no problem selecting all the files and shares but the SQL server is grayed out. The backup account has sysadmin on the SQL server and all the Databases and is  located in the same domain as the SQL server. It looks like a permissions issue but I am not sure. Help !

Thanks
Carlos

Carlos,

Can you check to make sure the remote agent is running as local system and not a user account on the SQL server?

Hi...

I have got the same problem too.

I am using local administrator a/c for the backup exec remote agent. Have checked that I have installed the SQL agent license correctly , check port 10000 is free, restricted anonymous support by using registry, even tried to do a udl connection from the media server to the virtual SQL database server and it can connect too.

Would greatly appreciate any help :)

Do you have the license for SQL agent installed?
