Hi,

As a first step ensure that Service Pack 6a is installed for Windows NT.

Please refer to the following Software Compatibility list for Backup Exec 9.0

VERITAS Backup Exec (tm) 9.0 for Windows Servers - Software Compatibility List

http://support.veritas.com/docs/251810

As far as the Catalog issue is concerned.

Click on "Tools" > "Options" > "catalog" > "Use storage meida based catalogs".

Uncheck this option and try cataloging the tape again....

Before that you may also recreate the "Catalogs" folder

Stop all BE services

Rename the "Catalogs" folder in Programs\Veritas\Backup Exec\NT directory to "Catalogsold".

Restart the services.

Check whether a new Catalog folder is created.

Hope this helps.
