Changing properties of a Scheduled Job

Hello,

I have a Scheduled Job (Full Backup) which runs on the 1st Friday of every month.

Its next run date is 3rd August 2007.

The problem I'm having is that if I change any of the properties of that Scheduled Job (e.g. Resource Order, Notification etc) between now and that date and 'Submit' the changes then the run time skips a month to 7th September 2007.

Does anybody know how I can stop it skipping a month when I alter any of the Job Properties?

Regards.

Hi Glen,

There is no way to stop this.  This issue is currently under investigation by our engineering department.  The workaround in stated in the following article:

The next scheduled backup job may be missed if the job properties are edited or the Backup Exec services cycled

This is a major nuisance.  If you make changes to your backup job, it will skip the next scheduled run.

I do not understand why it is taking so long to fix this problem.  There are posts describing this issue that go back to November 11, 2006.  That was eight months ago!!!!!!

Symantec, when will this problem be resolved?
