When I run a cleaning job it hangs at 91%. If I reboot the server it runs fine. Any suggestions?

Tape Drive - Certance DAT72-400 SCSI

Thanks,

Hello Michael,

Thankyou for your query. Have you installed the latest device drivers for the tape drives ? If not please do so.

Also please check ig you have stopped and disabled removable Storage Service. It should always be disabled when Backup Exec is being used as the backup Software.

Check in the system logs for event IDs 5,7,9, 11, 15

If you have any of these with the source being the SCSI card or the device drivers please refer to the following technotes.

How to troubleshoot issues with a Robotic Library or Tape Drive in Backup Exec 9.x and 10.0

Hope this helps. You may also try using a new cleaning tape, check for any alerts that have been reported in the alerts tab. Answer them with an OK.
