Continuous Backups from disc to tape

I am running 10d with continuous backups and i am having a problem with my backup to tape.

The continuous backup runs from 07.00 to 20.00 mon to fri and the tape backup runs at 2.30 in the morning.
The tape backup cannot backup any on the data that was put on the disc by the cont. backup, although there is data there.

What could be causing the problem as the files are not open and nothing is running at the same time as the tape backup.

Can you please elaborate more on the issue ?

Are you taking bakups on a hard-disk as well as on a tape ?
