Is it possible to convert a physical machine that was backed up to tape from another BE server to a virtual server from that tape? I can't find anything on that; everything I find is about converting a backup from the same BE server.
Yes. It is possible to do B2V from a tape. The tape backup set would be staged to disk before the conversion begins, so make sure you have sufficient disk space to hold the backup set.
