Sorry. New to the forum and did not clarify. I continue to get one mailbox that does produces this error in the logs. Please help.

Check the contents of mailboks and confirm that the items are readable. In my case, I found that the attachments are corrupt and after deletion, no more errors in BE logs.

The user is using Outlook 2k3 in cache mode by the looks of it, so go ot the 'SYNC ISSUES' folder at the bottom of the users mailbox, and delete any Sync issue messages that are corrupt.

Usually they are caused by Outlook being used away from the network, or by a bad network connection. I often get them when logging in through a VPN, and open Outlook before the connection is complete.

The error doesnt mean that there is a major problem with your backup, just that one file is corrupt.

Hope this helps
