Counting licenses

How exactly do you count the licenses?  What's is necessary?

1. In this scenario, we have three servers, A, B, and C.  Both Server A & B have BackupExec installed because both servers have tape drives.  Both Server A and B needs to backup Server C.  Server C only have the remote agent installed.  In this case, how many licenses is needed?  Two Core license + 2 remote license or Two Core license + 1 remote license?

2. Does Exchange agent license includes remote agent for windows license?  We have another scenario where server D have Exchange 2007 installed.  Both Server D and Server E  have BackupExec installed.  Both Server D and Server E needs to backup the Windows and Exchange database on server D.  So, in this case, how many licenses does server D needs? Core + exchange license?  How many licenses does server E needs?  Core + exchange or Core + Exchange + Remote windows agent license?

3. Is Active Directory agent required to backup Active Directory?  It seems to be that the core backupexec license will still backup Active directory.  It just will not restore individual active directory components?  Is this correct?

4. Is MAC agent license required to backup server Mac OS X server?  We just need to backup one folder on the Mac OS X server.  We have installed mac agent and it seems to be working fine without the mac agent license.

1)  2x BackupExec, 1x Remote Agent

2)  Yes, all database agentes include one RAWS (remote agent)  Each medai server needs the database agent/serial installed, so you would need 2x base serial + 2x Exchange Serial

3)  Yes, you can do a complete Disaster Recovery restore without the AD Agent.  With it, you can do granular resores of AD

4)  Don't know about this one.  Is your install still in demo mode on that media server?
