I'm looking into a disk to disk to tape solution using a VTL unit and tape library.  Does anyone know if this is possible with Backup Exec 11d. 

I want to be able to use Backup Exec and VTL to backup my servers and then automatically write the VTL data to tape.  If this is possible, will BE be able to track and manage data on VTL and on tape.

I know Netbackup has a tape duplicator option that would work I suppose, but not sure if BE has it.  Any advice or suggestions is appreciated.  Thanks.

Hi Daniel,  Did you ever get a response, or make any progress on this?  We are looking to do the same thing with BackupExec v11d.  I have found other posts about issues with the Duplicate Backup Jobs policy not working correctly.
