DFS Backup Share Failing

One of our consultants upgraded backup exec from 2010 - 2012 and it is failing on one of the dfs shares.  I have tried including it as another selection and even creating a new job.  I get the below error when browsing to it:

browse failure

failure to browse "company".

The directory is invalid

Has enable selection of user shares been disabled by the upgrade (default would be disabled)

Click Yellow "Backup Exec" button top left  --> Configuration and settings --> Backup Exec settings

then in left bar choose Netwok and Security to find this setting

It seems that you've run into a defect. Please refer to the article:

I request you to open support ticket with Symantec to look into this further.

Hi Colin, the option was unticked but I have now ticked it.  I pressume this needs ticking?

Hi Amrit, I saw other articles suggesting this earlier.  Whenever I've moved to 2012 I've always done a clean upgrade so never hit this issue.  I will contact Symantec thanks for your help.
