Hi,

Under "Revision Control"
I configure Keep 2 revisions in the desktop user data folder and keep 2 revisions in the network user data folder.

If I understand right it should backup 2 revision in the desktop computer and 2 revision in the server.

but in the Usage Summary, I can see on the network usage double size and double revision than local usage
Why ?

If user restore a file.
It is restore from the network folder or from the desktop folder ?

I have about 20 Laptop.
The DLO is currently install on only 2 laptop since I'm testing the system.

I have BackupEXEC 10.0 server install on Windows 2003 server.
I have Exchange Agent and licebse for 20 Laptops.

I create a new profile in the DLI >> Settings >> Profiles.
In this profiles I configure to backup "My documents"|.
Under "Revision Control" I configure Keep 2 revisions in the desktop user data folder
The Limit to is not checked

and keep 2 revisions in the network user data folder
limit to is not checked

Under Options I configure "Compress the file stored in the network revision folder"

When source file are deleted I configured
Desktop user data folder after 14 days
Network user data folder after 7 days

I also have a problem with the backup.
In the log fle I can see:
9/11/2005 5:02:11 PM - Maintenance - C:\Documents and Settings\idan\My Documents\RSG Rev2.DOC has been detected as deleted. The corresponding backup files will be deleted according to the backup selection settings.
9/11/2005 5:04:25 PM - Backup - C:\Documents and Settings\idan\My Documents\RSG Rev2.DOC was copied to the desktop user data folder (112128 bytes, modified: 9/11/2005 5:02:10 PM)

Why I see delete and after several second/min I can see copy ?

The file is never deleted

Idan LererI understand the deleting issue,
Still have the problem with the revision on the desktop folder and on the network folder,
And I still have a problem with the backup since in the log file I see a warning message that "is in use by another application. It will be retried" but while I close the file I can;t see the success log.

Hello,

- NUDF and LUDF should normally have the same revisions after the synchronisation.
- As for restore if LUDF is available then the restore will be done from LUDF and not the NUDF.

So why in the Usage Details I see
Local
Using: 380MB 322 revision

Network
Using: 710MB 463 revisions

I have the same problem in a two different users
